Since 1937, the Association of Talent Agents (ATA) has been the official trade association for talent agencies in the US, negotiating agency franchise agreements with major entertainment guilds and holding member agencies to a code of ethics covering fair, transparent business practices. This course draws on that same professional standard — contract clarity, honest commission structures, transparent client communication — and applies it to the model agency and talent management side of the fashion industry.

You will learn agency structure (mother agency vs. board agency), the booking process from casting through payment, contract fundamentals, commission structures, how agencies develop and support talent, and the ethical standards that separate a reputable agency relationship from an exploitative one. This course serves both aspiring agents and models who want to understand the business side of their own representation.
