Model Portfolio & Comp Card Development

Before an agency will sign a model or a client will book one, they expect a specific, standardized deliverable: a composite card, commonly called a comp card. This isn’t an informal preference — the modeling industry has used a genuinely consistent format for decades (5.5″ × 8.5″ in the US, front hero shot, back grid of 3–4 additional shots, printed stats) precisely because it lets agencies and clients evaluate models quickly and consistently.

This course covers building a complete, professional portfolio from scratch: what shots to prioritize, how to work with photographers on a limited budget, comp card layout and specifications, digitals versus polished shots, and how to keep a portfolio current as a model’s look and experience develop. You will finish with the practical knowledge to build a comp card and portfolio that meets real industry expectations.
