Job Overview Top Drawer is looking for a creative, trend-aware, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong personal style and a passion for vintage fashion, upcycling, garment construction, and creating unique, one-of-a-kind pieces. The Fashion Designer will help develop and create original clothing and fashion pieces that reflect Top Drawer’s distinctive vintage aesthetic. The ideal candidate is comfortable working with a variety of fabrics, garments, and materials and enjoys transforming vintage and existing pieces into fresh, wearable designs. Responsibilities Design and create original garments and fashion pieces Rework, alter, and upcycle vintage and existing clothing Develop concepts, sketches, and designs that fit the Top Drawer aesthetic Select fabrics, trims, embellishments, and other materials Sew, alter, and construct garments with attention to quality and fit Experiment with different silhouettes, textures, colors, and vintage materials Create one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces for the store Research vintage fashion, current trends, and emerging styles for design inspiration Work closely with the retail team to develop collections and special projects Maintain an organized workspace and properly care for tools and materials Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of craftsmanship Qualifications Previous experience in fashion design, garment construction, sewing, or a related field preferred Strong understanding of garment construction and sewing techniques Creative eye and strong sense of fashion, color, proportion, and styling Experience working with vintage clothing or upcycled materials is a plus Ability to work independently and manage multiple creative projects Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Resourceful, hands-on, and comfortable experimenting with new ideas Passion for vintage fashion, individuality, and sustainable design What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a designer who can bring a distinctive creative point of view to Top Drawer.
