Job Summary
We are seeking a creative and passionate Fashion Designer to join our growing design team. In this role, you will develop original apparel concepts, research emerging fashion trends, create technical designs, and collaborate with product development and production teams to bring innovative collections to market. The ideal candidate has a strong sense of style, excellent illustration skills, and a passion for creating fashion that inspires customers around the world.
Responsibilities
- Design seasonal apparel and fashion collections.
- Research global fashion trends, colors, fabrics, and consumer preferences.
- Create sketches, digital illustrations, and technical drawings.
- Develop mood boards, color palettes, and design concepts.
- Select fabrics, trims, prints, and accessories.
- Collaborate with pattern makers and technical designers.
- Participate in garment fittings and sample reviews.
- Revise designs based on feedback and production requirements.
- Ensure products meet quality, fit, and brand standards.
- Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and production teams.
- Stay informed about runway shows and industry innovations.
- Maintain organized design files and documentation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2+ years of experience in fashion or apparel design.
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and textile materials.
- Experience creating fashion sketches and technical drawings.
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other design software.
- Understanding of current fashion trends and consumer preferences.
- Strong creativity, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4+ years of professional fashion design experience.
- Experience designing swimwear, lingerie, sportswear, or luxury apparel.
- Knowledge of CLO 3D, Browzwear, or other 3D garment design software.
- Experience working with overseas manufacturers and production teams.
- Understanding of sustainable fashion practices and ethical sourcing.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating original fashion collections.
- Experience presenting collections to buyers or leadership teams.
